Community Spotlight – Florida Key SHRM Scholarshiop Winners

The 2024 Florida Keys SHRM Judy Hobbs Memorial Scholarship was recently awarded to Key West High School students Katelyn Noss, Damir Karimov, and Marco Davila. Scholarship Chair Julio J. Torrado presented each student with a $500 scholarship.

The Judy Hobbs Memorial Scholarship assists students pursuing a college degree in the Human Resources or Business fields. Ms. Hobbs was a local entrepreneur and founding member of our organization who, during her lifetime, was dedicated to the career success of young people who wanted to excel in business. In 1989 Ms. Hobbs passed away and her mother donated funds to help start a scholarship in her honor.
