Call for Volunteers

WE NEED YOU!

The HR Florida State Council is comprised entirely of Volunteers!  The 60+ member Council consists of an Executive Committee, District Directors, Core Leadership Directors, Council Services Directors, and the Chapter President from each of our 28 local chapters, representing more than 16,000 HR Professionals in the state of Florida.  As you might imagine, a number of these positions become available each fall for consideration for the following year.  This year is no different and we still have a few positions available.  Will you be our next Council Member?

NEW COUNCIL ROLE!

New for 2023 – Based on feedback from our fellow Council Members and what we are seeing in the workplace, we are adding a new Core Leadership position, the Emerging Professionals Director.

The Emerging Professionals Director promotes and assists with EP chapter activities and involvement across the state. He/she serves as a liaison between professional chapters and the state council, works with chapter presidents to encourage Emerging Professional participation and opportunities in local chapter meetings, and disseminates information relative to Emerging Professionals programs, scholarships, certification, conferences, etc. The incumbent also encourages Emerging Professional participation in SHRM publications, awards programs, and in EP activities at the state and SHRM national conferences.  Position will also identify, create, and execute opportunities for Emerging Professionals at HR Florida events, including a State Conference meet-up.
